VX/VXE-6 Reunion and Registration Information

19-22 May 2011

Fort Mitchell, Kentucky

You are cordially invited to join us for the VXE-6 2010 reunion in Fort Mitchell, KY.

The idea of a reunion has been talked about over the years by various parties, and small reunions may have taken place but not at this level.  A few of us have decided it was time to get as many 6er’s together as possible for one big fling.  We are certain that we have chosen a place that is not only reasonable in this economy, but hopefully exceeds everyone’s expectations for an outstanding time by all.  Our first priority is to ensure that your visit is a memorable, safe and happy one, as well as to reunite you with old shipmates and to make new ones.  I apologize in advance if you receive more than one of these mailings.  We have many different sources that could duplicate this e-mail.  Please help spread the word, there were over 3500 personnel assigned to VXE-6 during its history and we only have around 700 that have been contacted.

General Notes

1.  It is very important that you get your hotel reservations in early so we can track the rooms and ask for additional if we need to.  There are 2 more hotels in the area that we are hoping to use as a standby if this hotel is booked to capacity.  If you desire more information about a certain tour, let me know and I’ll start a list to see if there are enough people interested to form a group.

2.  I highly recommend the Newport aquarium as a tour.

3.  Shuttle service is provided from the airport to the hotel at no charge.  Let me know your arrival time and airlines and I’ll have a shuttle at the airport waiting for you.

4.  The main reason I am sending this out 9 months in advance is that some members need to schedule vacations before the first of the year with their employer.

5.  If you plan on attending 90% + please e-mail me so I can start a master list to keep track of the total number of people attending.  Like I said earlier if you need to cancel at a later date for any reason, that’s OK, I just want to make sure that all that are attending will have little or 0 problems.

6.  The Hospitality room will be open for extended hours throughout the day 8am to 2359 to just meet and greet. If you desire to bring a drink that’s ok too.

Thanks, and hope to see you all there

Joe Hollern
