Herc photo is of 318 ...it lost a wing while taxing for takeoff at Willims field in
72...it was full of fuel headed for N.Z. to be repaired ...as I remember...It had glanced
off a peak shortly after take off from an open field landing...came back to Willy then was
going to N.Z....no one hurt..I took the picture

Can't remember who took it, but it's me (Ron May) next to Longs plane on the Willy ice
runway. I was the controller working the tower/gca when he landed. If I remember right, he
was charged $7.00 landing fee. He signed all the dollar bills ....someone out there has
them.
