- Please click on the classmates link in the link bar to go to the webpage.
- You will need to create a profile, make a throwaway free
- Yahoo email account so the SPAM monsters don't get to your real email address.
- Then go to the workplace tab and do a search using "California Conservation
Corps".

- I hear big changes are afoot for the CCC's as far as funding goes.
- You can "Google" CCC center closings and you will get quite a few articles
- on the various closings and planned closings of CCC centers across the state.
- Buffy Bandy left a message about a new webpage and a grassroots effort to get the
- word out that the CCC's must be saved.
- UPDATE
- Since then Arnold Schwarzenegger has been elected governor of California.
- He has plenty of tough choices to make, a lot of "cleaning up" to do and
through it all he has to
- find a way to work with the current elected Legislature that runs California.
- I strongly encourage you to go to the SAVE THE CCC'S website and learn what you
- can do to help save the CCC's from the budget chopping block.
- I can remember the times when governor Jerry Brown had to fight the Legislature for
funding of the
- CCC's and the times when we were held off the grade back in camp doing busy work because
there was
- no approved state budget with which to pay us with.
